O livro Jchabivanejetic ta ac’ubal reúne dois ensaios fotográficos realizados entre 2017 e 2018. O primeiro centra-se nas comunidades zapatistas e capta o quotidiano de quatro caracóis, acompanhado de reflexões que abordam o passado, o presente e o futuro do Movimento Zapatista. O segundo ensaio narra a resistência sagrada da comunidade de Las Abejas de Acteal, que dedica os seus dias a lutar por justiça e paz após o massacre de 1997.

Nos vales e montanhas de Chiapas, cruzam-se os caminhos sinuosos que definiram toda esta edição. Três anos depois de serem entregues aos seus protagonistas, estas imagens voltaram a tecer percursos; desde as suas origens, trouxeram palavras que, unidas às das montanhas do Curdistão e de Wallmapu, nos ofereceram prólogos que revelam novas luzes.

The book Jchabivanejetic ta ac’ubal brings together two photographic essays created between 2017 and 2018. The first focuses on Zapatista communities, capturing daily life in four caracoles (Zapatista autonomous centers), alongside reflections on the past, present, and future of the Zapatista Movement. The second essay tells the story of the sacred resistance of the Las Abejas de Acteal community, who dedicate their days to fighting for justice and peace after the 1997 massacre.

In the valleys and mountains of Chiapas, the winding paths that shaped this entire edition converge. Three years after being delivered to their subjects, these images wove new journeys; from their origins, they brought words that, combined with those from the mountains of Kurdistan and Wallmapu, gave us prologues that reveal new light.
